Another fantastic winter season, we have fresh snow on the Mountains, blossom starting to bloom and warmer, longer days to enjoy all the other activities Queenstown has to offer.
Take advantage of our special rates to book your spring skiing holiday. Remember it is best to book on our own secure on line booking site because we are not paying commissions to the big on line booking companies.
We are still busy feeding the nectar drinking birds and love the reward of listening to the bird song and chatter of all the tuis and bellbirds talking to each other. We were thrilled to see a native wood pigeon in our kowhai tree yesterday. We haven't had them here since we rebuilt and had to take out their favourite cabbage tree. We replanted our garden especially for the birds but it has taken ages for the wood pigeons to feel happy enough to come back.
Pete and I went to Zealandia (a nature reserve) again when we were recently in Wellington. We went with a guide this time, he was a volunteer and passionate about the flora and fauna. He knew all the Latin and Maori names of absolutely everything and we learned a lot from him.
If you are visiting our beautiful capital city I suggest you go to Zealandia, its awesome, if not then don't despair - we have a great place here in Queenstown we also recommend, the Kiwi Birdlife Park.
We look forward to welcoming you, thanks for reading my blog...
Best wishes and happy travels,
