Room heating is provided by state of the art equipment, is easy to live with and you are in control of the temperature.
Hot water is guaranteed by our plumber to never run out!
All bathrooms have a bath and shower (the bath has been insulated so you can relax longer before needing to add more hot water)
Special shelving in the bathroom provide room for your toiletries.
Heated mirrors and good bathroom lighting make shaving or applying makeup easy
Heated towel rails for your comfort and to make re using towels easier.
Linen and towels are the best available, we selected the supplier after personally using all the different companies products.
We use environmentally and people friendly cleaning products.
The balconies and courtyards are built to maximize the sun and mountain views.
Our water and room heating is currently diesel but can use bio fuel when it becomes available.
These four units are in the same block as our office. They were built in the early 1970s and are popular as an alternative to a back packers for those travellers who enjoy not sharing rooms and like to have their own bathroom and comfortable beds with all linen provided..

The Alpha Wing have great lake and mountain views, 50+ sky tv channels and unlimited free wifi. We used to be qualmarked but are now self rated as a 3.

Located on Queenstown Hill at 16 Kent Street in the high quality Bowen View Apartments (only a 10 minute walk of 700 metres down town to Central Queenstown) Apartment @16 is the newest addition to our business.
Check in and registration is done from our office at Queenstown Motel Apartments, 62 Frankton Road.
It is an Adults only apartment no children under 14 years including babies and toddlers and a maximum of 4 people.
It is a lovely 2 bedroom 2 bathroom fully self contained apartment.
Each bedroom has a King size bed and a private bathroom.
The open plan kitchen is equipped with a gas cooktop and an electric oven. The kitchen has a north facing window to catch the morning sun. It is fully decked out with all the utensils you should need as well as a microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster, electric jug, coffee plunger for the coffee lovers, tea, instant coffee and sugar. The kitchen also has salt, pepper and olive oil.
The lounge has a comfortable couch and 2 reading chairs and a large flat screen tv with 50 plus Sky TV channels A lovely gas fireplace makes a great focal point especially on cold nights with a glass of fantastic Central Otago pinot noir. There is a heatpump too which will help with the few days we get in summer that require cooling.
Along with the Sky tv (with ALL the sports channels including Sky Pop Up channels) we have unlimited wifi included too. So you can easily update your facebook, instagram, snapchat, twitter and Tinder…

Free AND unlimited wifi is the latest point of difference all our guests enjoy.
They tell us it is very user friendly (you don't need to log in each time you turn on your computer) and a great speed too.
You can skype, facebook, instagram, keep up with the latest news, download your photos and keep in constant touch with your friends and family from the comfort and privacy of your room.
Another upgrade was sky tv. We have bought the 50+ sky channels package which means you get all the sports channels, most of the movies, lots of news, lots of music, lots of choices and perfect reception on every channel.
Free laundry facilities are another popular point of difference our guests appreciate. We have 2 free to use washing machines, an outdoor clothes line and a clothes drier that requires a $2.00 coin.
Being able to park on site and close to your unit is another good reason to stay with us. Unlike a lot of hotels and apartments in Queenstown, we have enough parking space on our property and it is free! There are no nasty surprises added to your account for parking or having to find a park on the street somewhere because the few spaces available are already taken.
We have storage space available and are happy to offer it free to you while you walk the Milford Track and/or the Routeburn Track.
We display over seventy model cars in our office. They are all 1:18th scale and have been collected by Pete over several decades.
Our guests love them so I have allowed them to stay even if it means a lot of dusting!
We have owned this site for over twenty years, operating as Alpha Lodge originally, we changed our name to Queenstown Motel Apartments when we opened our three new wings of 18 studio apartments in 2004.(We retained the back building, built in the early 1970s with the office and 4 motel units which we call the "alpha wing")
You are staying with a long term local family at Queenstown Motel Apartments. Pete and I have been involved in the tourism and motel industry since we were newlyweds and our children grew up in Motels. In 2013 the local MANZ branch surprised us with a Certificate of Recognition and life membership for both of us! I was overwhelmed then but more was to come later at the 40th Annual Conference of MANZ at Nelson... Another surprise, this time Pete (who had in the past been on the Board and also President of MANZ) got presented with a Life Membership of MANZ. Wow moments.
There is always someone about who can help you 24/7 if you need it at Queenstown Motel Apartments. Our family live on site but it will probably be Vanessa (our daughter and manager) or myself (Dianne) in the office, Pete is usually always busy working with the staff or gardening in the summer and skiing in the winter.
Sadly at our last assessment it was brought to our attention that neither our property nor our rooms were suitable for children.
We agreed with Qualmark, we have no suitable play area and our driveway is dangerous so for the benefit of our guests and the safety and well being of children we now have a no children under 14 years policy. Please respect our decision, (it was not made lightly) and we do not refund if you arrive with children under the age of 14 years.

We are now screening all our reservations over the New Year holiday period . We no longer accept anyone under the age of 25 as guests unless they are with a parent. We also will be restricting the number of guests per room to a maximum of 2 people during the New Year period. We regret the need to add these conditions but we do so to ensure all our guests and ourselves have a comfortable and safe stay during a very busy time.

Our kitchenettes are suitable for reheating pre cooked food, toast and tea or coffee only.
For health and safety reasons we do not have any cooking facilities and do not allow the use of any cooking devices not provided by the Motel either indoors or outside anywhere on the property.
We are only 700 metres from Queenstown and are happy to recommend restaurants that will suit your dietary requirements.
